Overall objective

The Kombo East Youth and Children Development Alliance (KEYCDA) has a clear set of objectives aimed at empowering young people and children in The Gambia, particularly within the Kombo East District. Their key objectives include:

1. Youth Empowerment
   To promote the active participation of young people in national development through education, skills training, and leadership opportunities.

2. Children’s Rights and Welfare
   To advocate for and protect the rights of children, ensuring their safety, education, and overall well-being.

3. Gender Equality and Inclusion
   To empower girls and young women by promoting gender equality and addressing issues such as gender-based violence and discrimination.

4. Community Development
   To engage communities in sustainable development initiatives that improve living standards and foster social cohesion.

5. Health and Well-being
   To raise awareness on key health issues affecting youth and children, including sexual and reproductive health, drug abuse, and HIV/AIDS.

6. Entrepreneurship and Economic Empowerment
